At Made in Arts London we love an award ceremony, particularly when they involve canapes, even more when the feature our fantastic artists. This year Made in Arts saw two of our artists nominated out of the over one hundred applicants to SEE’s Creative Enterprise awards, and we even saw one walk away with the victory champagne.

Printmaker Katy Binks  (have a look at her colourful tumblr here for some great eye-stimuli on a winters day) was up for Enterprising New Business. Currently studying for her Masters at Camberwell, Katy’s bright bold creations have proven to be quite the hit with those looking for something modern and uplifting for their home or office.

Why not read Katy’s great interview with Made in Arts here where she discusses the benefits of being an ‘eyes open’ person and the wide variety of inspirations she draws on in here work, from African fabrics to Korean architecture.
BA3D design graduate from Camberwell, Zoe Tynan- Campbell scooped the award for Enterprising project for her pop up shop Salad days which brought together twenty artists and designers during London Design Festival in a lovely little store just off Carnarby Street (and not to keep showing what good taste we have, also featured yet another Made in Arts London artist Rosie Brewer). Zoe and her self proclaimed mess- making Stumped Studio specialise in nostalgic, playful design.
Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners at the awards, University of the Arts’ talent was certainly out in force that night!
