MiAL 2017 Selection Panel: Introducing Philip Howe

Open to all University of the Arts London students and recent graduates, MiAL represents a fantastically diverse range of work including fine art, illustration, photography, fashion, homeware, video, performance, sculpture, installation and more! With each new collection we welcome around 40 new artists to join MiAL, with work launched online as part of the new collection.Philip Howe

Each collection is chosen by a panel of industry experts. The panel look through all submissions and provide feedback to everyone, which means that even if work isn’t selected applicants receive helpful guidance as to why.

The panel changes with each collection, which leads us nicely into our exciting news that the third panel member for the MiAL 2017 Collection is Philip Howe!

Philip Howe is a London-based writer and curator focused on the intersections of contemporary art, conflict, and radical politics. Having graduated Goldsmiths College in 2013 with an MA Art & Politics, Philip now holds the post of Project Manager for a/political, an organisation dedicated to initiating, producing and touring dynamic collaborations with socially and politically engaged artists.
