Introducing the Cass Art Materials Bursary

Made in Arts London have recently teamed up with Cass Art to bring University of Art London students and graduates the Cass Art Materials Bursary.

This bursary came about through a partnership between Made in Arts London and Cass Art whereby both parties wanted to offer an opportunity to artists and designers that would support their continued practice.

With an understanding that affording materials can often hinder producing work for emerging artists, Cass Art decided to offer a bursary which would greatly benefit the recipient by alleviating some of the financial burden that comes with producing work.

Made in Arts London supports and promotes emerging artists and designers to continue with their practice; and helps to introduce their work into a wider arts audience with a focus on achieving connections, exposure, collectors, gaining commissions and selling work. Both Cass Art and MiAL felt that by offering the bursary through Made in Arts London, the recipient would not only gain support with materials, but also with the continued growth and
promotion of their practice.

“We are thrilled to be working so closely with Made in Arts London, and delighted that we are able to support students with their art or creative materials. Emerging artists are essential to a vibrant society and diversity in the world of art – we’re so pleased that we can lend them support in the early stages of their careers.” – Mark Cass, Founder and Chairman of Cass Art

The bursary is available to students and graduates submitting work to Made in Arts London’s Spring/Summer Collection 2015. The deadline for submissions is at midnight on February 15th 2015.
