There is now only one week left to submit work to Made in Art London’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection!

Submissions are open to all University of the Arts London current students and recent graduates. We welcome applications from artists and designers at all level of study, working in any medium, and from any of the 6 UAL Colleges.

When you apply to Made in Arts London your work is presented to our panel of industry experts. The panel look at every piece of submitted work, from these they select the artists and designers to be part of our next collection and become MiAL Artists. Our panel feedback to everyone who submits, so even if your work is not selected you will still receive valuable feedback.

We are now thrilled to announce that the third member of our Spring/Summer 2016 selection panel will be Lydia Cowpertwait.

Lydia Cowpertwait is the Director of Dais Contemporary, a leading contemporary art consultancy practice based in London. The company works with a vast list of prominent artists and galleries in the UK and worldwide. Their focus is on integrating contemporary art into everyday environments and their client list includes a large number of architecture practices, public and private bodies.

Lydia’s background is as a contemporary art curator and gallery manager. She previously ran Hoxton Art Gallery, a gallery based in Shoreditch that fostered leading emerging artists in Britain. Prior to this she worked at the Whitechapel Gallery.

Since running Hoxton Art Gallery Lydia has steadily gained a reputation for spotting emerging talent in Britain. She is well known for frequenting the art school graduation shows and she enjoys supporting artists from early on in their careers.

Lydia has had press and personal profiles in publications including the Independent Newspaper, Artforum, The Telegraph, Blouin ArtInfo and Hart International. In 2016 she will be curating art collections for several well-known hotel groups, soon to be unveiled later in the year.
